Kharghar 350th Shatabdi Samagam: Divya Nagar Kirtan at Uwe Maidan

A wonderful scene of spiritual joy was seen on the occasion of 350th Shaheedi Gurupurab and Gurutagaddi Centenary celebrations at Uwe Maidan in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The two-day grand event organized in the memory of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sahib Sri Guru Teg Bahadur and Dasham Patshah Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji started with reverence and dignity.

Many special guests along with company from all over the country are participating in this function organized with the support of Devendra Fadnavis and under the patronage of Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa. The main pandal ‘Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Darbar’ spread over 200 acres in Uve Maidan remains a center of special attraction for the devotees.

How did the centenary celebrations begin?

Formal programs will be started in the main pandal on the first day of the function. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering through online medium. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Ministers and dignitaries of many states will participate in the program. Saints, Ragi groups and representatives of the society from different parts of the country are participating in this historic event, making this ceremony a symbol of national unity and spiritual harmony.

How was the spectacle of the supernatural city kirtan?

Gurdwara Singh Sabha CBT. A grand city kirtan was taken out from Belapur at 5 pm under the holy patronage of ‘Shabd Guru’ Dhan-Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and under the leadership of Panch Pyare Sahiban. The procession concluded after reaching Uve Maidan at 10 pm. A large number of Sangat including Cabinet Minister Rameshwar Naik, Chairman Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Charandeep Singh Happy, Malkit Singh Ball participated in the Nagar Kirtan. Devotees praised Guru Mahima with devotion and enthusiasm.

Why did the song ‘Nagara Fateh Da’ become the center of attraction?

During the ceremony, a special release of the religious song ‘Nagara Fateh Da’ dedicated to the 350th Gurutagadi Day of Dasham Patshah Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was held. This song has been written by singer Manna Mand and composed by Girmoh. Madhuri Misal, Minister of State, Maharashtra Government, launched this song. On this occasion, Chairman of Sikh Supreme Council of Gurdwara Navi Mumbai, Bhai Jaspal Singh Sandhu and other prominent personalities were present.

What is the main objective of these centenary celebrations?

Damdami Taksal chief Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa said that there is immense enthusiasm among the Sangats all over the world regarding the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib and Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji who were martyred with him. He told that these celebrations have been given a grand shape at the state level by the Maharashtra government.

Earlier, large scale events had also been organized in Nagpur and Sachkhand Takht Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded, whereas this is the third and last centenary celebration organized in Kharghar. According to him, the objective of these events is to convey the message of religious freedom, humanity and justice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib to the new generation. He appealed to as many people as possible to participate in the function.

Extensive arrangements for 20 lakh devotees

Huge pandals and facilities have been prepared in an area of ​​about 200 acres in the Uve grounds. According to the organizers, keeping in mind the arrival of about 20 lakh devotees, extensive arrangements for food, accommodation and security have been made.
