Not the Chinese one, this is the real Made in India robot dog, Bengaluru startup’s PARAM becomes the new pride of the country

But meanwhile, a startup company from Bengaluru has caught everyone’s attention by introducing a robot dog completely developed in India. ‘General Autonomy’ This startup has named its indigenous robot PARAM, videos of which are becoming increasingly viral on social media.

PARAM is the result of hard work of Indian engineers

While sharing the video on X, the company wrote, ‘Enough of all this nonsense. Introducing Param, India’s most powerful indigenous robot dog.” It further said, ‘It is neither assembled, nor bought, but made in India and manufactured by Indians. For our nation, for our century, for our world.”

The startup claims that PARAM has been completely designed and developed by Indian engineers. Only Nvidia’s Jetson GPU and actuators are non-Indian components, the rest is entirely manufactured in India.

Capable of climbing 30 cm stairs, takes care of himself after falling

According to the company, continuous work is being done on this project for the last seven months and improvements have been made in it every fifteen days. In the viral video, PARAM can be seen walking on the streets of Bengaluru, identifying obstacles amidst traffic and climbing stairs up to 30 cm high.

This robodog can operate at low altitude places with ‘crab walk mode’. Can walk in and in case of fall takes care of itself through automatic fall recovery system. The company claims that it has autonomous navigation and tracking system, so that it can work in complex conditions without human intervention.

Demonstration took place in front of PM Modi also

Last month, PARAM was demonstrated in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event organized to mark the completion of 10 years of Startup India. According to the company, the Prime Minister praised the robot and also advised the team to take care of PARAM in the winter of Delhi. The presentation was part of the Deep Tech Showcase of National Startup Day 2026, which has given a new identity to the Indian robotics ecosystem.
