The epicenter of the earthquake was in Sankhuwasabha district, located about 400 kilometers east of Kathmandu. The tremor, which occurred at 3:18 am, was felt in Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur, Panchthar, Teherthum and Taplejung districts.

Two tremors in Sikkim

Two earthquakes were also recorded in Sikkim on Thursday. The first tremor was of 4.6 magnitude, whose epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers near Yuksom in Gyalshing district. After this, at 12:17 pm, a second tremor of 3.5 magnitude was felt in Mangan district.
