Rashmika’s wedding photos cross 18.4 million likes, surpass Virat Kohli–Anushka Sharma’s record

Power couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna tied the knot on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The couple shared separate wedding posts on Instagram, with Rashmika’s photos alone crossing 18.4 million likes, and the numbers are still rising.

More than 18.4 million likes in three hours on Rashmika’s wedding post

Rashmika’s post garnered nearly 9.7 million likes, and Vijay’s over 8.3 million in a few minutes. At present, Rashmika’s post has 18.4 M likes, while Vijay’s wedding post has 14.3 M likes. The couple’s engagement numbers have even surpassed Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding posts. When Anushka shared photos from their wedding on December 11, the post received around 3.4 million likes.

Fans and celebrities from both the South film industry and Bollywood flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages. Celebrities including Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ishaan Khatter, Vineet Singh, Neha Malik, Nitanshi Goel, Neha Dhupia, and Raashii Khanna, among others, extended their wishes to the newlyweds.

The couple opted for regal ethnic outfits in shades of orange and red, complemented by heavy jewellery that truly stood out. Designed by SHREE Jewellers, the bespoke pieces were crafted after months of meticulous planning and discussions. The jewellery theme revolved around what the couple fondly called the ‘ViRosh’ wedding. Drawing inspiration from South Indian temple architecture and cultural symbolism, the designers shared, “Rashmika’s look was envisioned as that of a living Goddess, while Vijay’s embodied a sovereign King. Deep Nakshi and Rava detailing were incorporated into both creations.”

Rashmika adorned 11 bespoke gold pieces for the ceremony. Her ensemble included a choker layered with traditional harams, statement jhumkas, a jada billa for her braid, champasaralu, haath phool, mathapatti, nose pin, bangles, bajuband, waist belt, and payals. Each piece featured intricate Nakshi work and fine Rava granulation, techniques known for high-relief carving and detailed texture. Finished in an antique matte polish, the jewellery carried a soft, heritage glow designed to move seamlessly with her silhouette. The intention, according to the designers, was to create heirloom pieces with lasting emotional and cultural value.

Rashmika and Vijay wedding ceremony in Udaipur was attended by a few well-known names from the film industry, including directors Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rahul Ravindran and Tharun Bhascker, along with actors Kalyani Priyadarshan, Eesha Rebba and Ashika Ranganath. Stylist Shravya Varma was also present at the celebration.

The reception will be held on March 4, 2026.
