Good news for daughters in UP, government will give 25 thousand rupees
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has made major changes in the Kanya Sumangala Yojana to encourage the development and education of daughters. Now the amount of financial assistance under the scheme has reached Rs 25,000. This amount will be given in six phases at important stages of the daughter’s life, so that the family can get financial support at every step.
Objective of the scheme:
Kanya Sumangala Yojana aims to change the mental attitude of considering daughters as a burden and help in the expenses related to their upbringing, education and health. This will prove to be especially helpful for poor families.
Delivery in six stages:
First installment on the birth of daughter.
Second installment on completion of vaccination.
Third installment at the time of admission in first class.
The fourth installment on the beginning of middle school.
Fifth installment on admission to high school.
The final and larger installment on taking admission in college or diploma course.
Eligibility conditions of this scheme:
It is mandatory for the beneficiary family to have permanent residence in Uttar Pradesh. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 3 lakh. The benefit of the scheme will be given to maximum two daughters of a family, in case of twin daughters the third will also be considered eligible.
Application Process and Online:
No need to go out of home to fill the form. Application can be made completely online. For this, you will have to login to the website of Women and Child Development Department and register with Aadhaar and mobile number. The application will be considered complete after uploading the required documents.
