Kavita claimed that the case was a conspiracy to implicate her as part of a political vendetta.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, K Kavita said that the judiciary has cut the web of lies in the Delhi Excise Policy case. This matter came into limelight when Kavita was arrested in March 2024. After getting bail from the Supreme Court in this case, he was released from Tihar Jail in Delhi in August 2024.
Kejriwal-Sisodia were also acquitted
By this decision. Kavitha (K. Kavitha) has got a great relief personally and politically. The matter appears to be legally over for now, but debate over its political implications is likely to continue. It is noteworthy that along with Kavita, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia have also been acquitted in this case.
What was the new liquor policy of Delhi?

On 17 November 2021, the Delhi government implemented the new liquor policy in the state. Under this, 32 zones were created in the capital and a total of 849 shops were to be opened in them. In the new liquor policy, all the liquor shops of Delhi were made private. The government had argued that this would yield a benefit of Rs 3,500 crore.
The government also increased the license fees manifold. For the L-1 license, for which earlier the contractors had to pay Rs 25 lakh, after the implementation of the new liquor policy, the contractors had to pay Rs 5 crore. Similarly, there was a significant increase in license fees in other categories also.
Why were there allegations of scam?
There were allegations of loss to both the public and the government due to the new liquor policy. At the same time, it was said that big liquor traders would benefit. This was the allegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The scam was talked about in three ways.
