Kolkata. The final voter list of West Bengal is going to come today after special intensive review of voters i.e. SIR. The names of more than 60 lakh voters will not be in this final voter list. Due to logical discrepancy, the Election Commission has sent notices to these voters. Now the judicial officers appointed by the Supreme Court will take the final decision regarding these voters. The Supreme Court has asked the Election Commission to release the supplementary final voter list as the names of the 60 lakh voters who are being heard are cleared.

Before the release of the final voter list of West Bengal, The Indian Express newspaper quoted Election Commission officials as saying that earlier they had approved the names of lakhs of voters after carefully examining the documents, but after discrepancies were pointed out by the Election Commission’s micro observers, the names of these voters were excluded. Now names of 6006675 voters will not be in the final voter list. Most of such cases are in Muslim dominated areas of West Bengal. In such a situation, a sword is hanging over the voters of these districts. If the judicial authorities also do not approve their documents, then a large number of voters in West Bengal will go away.

According to newspaper news, cases of 11 lakh voters in Muslim-dominated Murshidabad of West Bengal, 2.82 lakh in Malda, 5.22 lakh in South 24 Parganas, 5 lakh in North 24 Parganas district, 6682 in Jhargram and 6790 in Kalimpong are still pending. On the instructions of the Supreme Court, the Calcutta High Court has deployed 530 judicial officers from West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand to take decisions regarding these voters. Unless the judicial authorities give approval, such voters will not be able to cast their votes in the West Bengal Assembly elections. The ruling TMC in West Bengal alleges that the Election Commission is deleting the names of its voters. At the same time, opposition BJP alleges that TMC is trying to save the names of its infiltrator Rohingya and Bangladeshi voters.
