“To be honest, we don’t have much time to be sad and regret,” Romario Shepherd said of the match against India. “We just have to stay calm and try to get back as soon as possible for that big game. It’s a do-or-die game, so we know our future is in our hands. Hopefully, we can go out there and win and make it to the semifinals.”

West Indies lost to South Africa. Shepherd believes they fell short by 50 runs in that match. “Yes, I feel the same way,” he said, “because even when the players were getting out, they were telling us that the wicket was very good. Even when I got out myself, it was very good. The first few balls that hit my bat felt like I was batting on concrete.”
