Trump’s support to Pakistan a blow to Indian diplomacy, ‘Vishwaguru’ exposed: Congress taunts government

New Delhi, 28 February. The Congress on Saturday claimed that US President Donald Trump’s support for Islamabad in the military conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan is another blow to India’s embracement diplomacy (Haglomacy) and the “self-proclaimed world leader” has been exposed. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that Trump repeatedly praised Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, who had prepared the role of Pahalgam terror attack by making inflammatory statements. In fact, Trump has expressed support for Pakistan in the military conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He said, “I have very good relations with Pakistan. They have a great prime minister, a great general… He is one of the people I respect a lot. Pakistan is doing extremely well at the moment (in the military conflict).” Quoting Trump’s statement, Congress leader Ramesh posted on

He said, “Our economic diplomacy with the US has failed miserably, as evidenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sudden surrender to an apparently one-sided trade agreement. In this agreement, India has made concrete commitments, especially regarding imports from American farmers, while the US has given only vague assurances regarding allowing more exports from India. Not only this, a few days after the agreement, the US imposed 125.87 percent import duty on solar products from India.”

The Congress leader said, “Our strategic diplomacy has been repeatedly dealt a blow by President Trump’s rapprochement with the Pakistani establishment and his singing the praises of India and Pakistan.” Ramesh alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be successful in receiving the award with his efforts. But the truth is that the “self-proclaimed world leader” has been exposed and the world, especially America, has come to know about him.
