Addition of charge sheet and caste comments clause in Gorakhpur AIIMS woman doctor molestation case
The police have filed a charge sheet in the court in the much-discussed case of molestation of a woman doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Gorakhpur. During the course of the investigation additional clauses relating to racial comments were added in addition to the clauses previously recorded.

According to the complaint in the case, the female doctor claimed that some men misbehaved with her, touched her badly and pulled her shirt. After the incident, he lodged a complaint, on the basis of which the police started an investigation. Statements, CCTV footage and other evidence were collected during the investigation.
Addition of additional clauses
According to police sources, the investigation also revealed that the accused made offensive and racial remarks against the doctor. On this basis the relevant clauses have been added. The chargesheet includes a detailed account of the incident, witness statements and technical evidence.
Questions about security measures
After the incident, questions were raised about the security measures in the hospital premises. Doctors and workers demanded to strengthen security. The issue has sparked a debate on the safety of women workers working in medical institutions across the state.
Further legal proceedings
Police officials said that a charge sheet has been filed based on the evidence and further action will be taken as per the court’s orders. The accused have already been arrested and the case is pending in court.
Administrative action
After the incident, the institution administration said to tighten security and increase CCTV surveillance on the campus to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
