Money will rain on Ranji winning team Jammu: CM Abdullah announces reward of Rs 2 crore, government job announced
Srinagar. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced a cash prize of Rs 2 crore for the players and support staff of Jammu and Kashmir cricket team on its historic Ranji Trophy win. Terming it a “big achievement” for Jammu and Kashmir cricket, the Chief Minister said that this achievement has filled the entire region with pride and inspiration.
In a post on social media platform
The Chief Minister had reached Hubli (Karnataka) on Friday, where he encouraged the Jammu and Kashmir team. The team was almost certain to win the trophy for the first time by taking a big lead in the first innings.
“The players will also be given the benefit of government jobs under the recently notified government rules for outstanding sportspersons,” Abdullah said.
