According to Mahant Deveshcharya Maharaj of Siddhapeeth Hanumangarhi, the tradition is being followed for a long time. He told a news agency, “This is a centuries-old tradition. There is a mark representing Hanuman ji in Hanumangarhi, the Siddhapeeth of Ayodhya, which is worshipped. Sadhus and Mahants together perform rituals in the temple and the Panchkoshi of Ayodhya is circumambulated. Along with this, all the temples and monasteries of Ayodhya are invited to play Holi. This tradition marks the beginning of Holi in Awadh and Lord Hanuman is the king here, so it starts from the Hanuman temple and then Invites are given to all the temples.

While giving information about the festival, Swami Sanjay Das, successor of Gyandas Ji Maharaj of Hanumangarhi temple, said that Phalgun has started with Rangbhari Ekadashi. Like every year, after worshiping the symbolic mark, we set out on the Panchkosi Parikrama with music, drums and Nag Sadhus. This auspicious day is the arrival of Holi and Faag is being invited in all the temples.

Let us tell you that on the day of Rangbhari Ekadashi, a special event is organized in Hanumangarhi temple, where sages, saints and Naga sadhus together set out on a journey carrying the mark representing Hanuman ji and complete the parikrama of Panchkosi. The special thing is that not only in Hanuman Garhi, but in the entire country, on the day of Rangbhari Ekadashi, Holi is played with God by offering gulal in every temple.
