Pakistan’s opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan is in great form in the T20 World Cup 2026. During the match against Sri Lanka in the Super-8 stage, he made a record in his name which stood for the last 12 years.
By scoring 37 runs in the match, Farhan created a new history of scoring the most runs in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. With this achievement he left behind Virat Kohli’s record of 319 runs made in 2014.

Before this match, Farhan had scored 283 runs in five matches. His average was 70.75 and strike rate was 158.10. During the innings against Sri Lanka he reached 320* runs and became the highest run scorer in a single edition.
