India Statement On Israel-Iran Tension: The situation in the Middle East is deteriorating rapidly. Israel along with America attacked Iran, after which Iran also retaliated. Iran fired missiles targeting American airbases. This increasing military conflict in the Middle East has worried the whole world. Meanwhile, India has also given an official response.

India expressed concern over tension

The Indian External Affairs Ministry has expressed serious concern over the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. The ministry said in its statement that recent developments in Iran and the Gulf region are extremely worrying. India has appealed to all concerned to exercise restraint, not to escalate the situation further and to give top priority to the safety of civilians.

Amidst this tension, India suggested that dialogue and diplomacy should be taken forward to reduce tension and resolve internal issues in the region, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries should be respected. In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, it has been said that India is keeping a close eye on the situation. The ministry clarified that the Indian missions in the region are in constant touch with the Indian citizens living there.

The Indian Embassy in Tehran has issued an advisory and has also posted this advisory on the social media platform X.

This advisory has been issued while issuing the helpline number and in view of the current situation, in which it is written that all Indian citizens present in Iran are advised to exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary movement and stay indoors as much as possible.
