Government of India should take immediate and first steps for the security of our people in Middle East: LoP Rahul Gandhi

US-Israeli strikes : Tension has increased in the Middle East after the attack on Iran by America and Israel. So far, 24 people have been reported dead in this attack. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised its citizens not to go out. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has urged the Indian government to take necessary steps for the safety of its citizens.

Expressing concern over the increasing tension in the Middle East, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote in an ex-post on Saturday, “The rapidly increasing hostility between US-Israel and Iran is a matter of great concern. The safety of every Indian citizen in the Middle East should be our biggest priority. I request the Government of India to take immediate and pre-emptive steps for the safety of our people.”

Indian Embassy issued advisory

The Indian Embassy in Tehran said in an advisory, “In view of the changing situation, all Indian nationals in Iran are advised to exercise utmost caution, avoid non-essential movements and stay indoors as much as possible.
