Kal Ka Mausam: With Holika Dahan next week (4 March 2026), the effect of heat is likely to intensify in North-West and Central India. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature may increase by 4–5°C in the next 5 days, due to which the heat will be felt more in the plains.

North-West and Central India

Temperature will rise rapidly in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature can reach around 32 to 35°C. There is a possibility of winds at the speed of 20–30 km/hr in Punjab, Haryana and UP between March 1 and 4.

Light rain and snowfall may occur in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh between March 4–6.

Northeast and Eastern India

Strong winds may occur in Assam and Meghalaya on March 2. There are chances of light rain in Kerala, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Mahe on March 1.

Uttar Pradesh

The winter is almost over. The temperature may reach 35°C in the next few days. Between March 1 and 4, winds may blow at a speed of 20–30 km/h. There is no possibility of rain at present.

Bihar

The effect of heat is increasing both day and night. According to IMD, the temperature may increase by 2–3°C in the next 3 days. The weather will be mainly clear.

According to the latest forecast of IMD, the weather will be mainly clear in North-West, Central and Eastern India on the day of Holika Dahan on March 4, 2026. The temperature may range between 32–35°C, meaning the weather is likely to be pleasant during the festival.
