New Delhi28 February. Amidst the worsening situation in West Asia, India has taken the initiative to reduce tension by increasing diplomatic activity. In this sequence, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke to the foreign ministers of Iran and Israel on separate phones on Saturday and appealed to them to immediately reduce tension, exercise restraint and return to the path of dialogue.
The joint attack by America and Israel and the subsequent retaliatory action by Iran have created a war-like situation in the region. In this background, Jaishankar, while talking to Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, expressed India’s deep concern and stressed the need to prevent increasing instability in the region.

While giving information on internet media, the External Affairs Minister said that India has shared its serious concern regarding the recent developments and reiterated the need for diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.

Earlier, Jaishankar also talked to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. During this, he made it clear that the solution to the current crisis is not possible through military action, but only through dialogue and diplomacy. India also stressed respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
India has expressed deep concern over the tense situation in the Gulf countries. India’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement and appealed to all parties to exercise restraint.

The Foreign Ministry said in its statement that the rapidly changing situation in Iran and the Gulf region is worrying and all parties should exercise restraint and give priority to the safety of citizens. The ministry appealed to avoid military confrontation and seek solutions through dialogue.
