Tragic accident! 21 killed, 8 injured in massive blast in firecracker factory

Kakinada: This time’s big news is coming out from Andhra Pradesh. There has been a massive explosion in a firecracker manufacturing factory here in Kakinada district. 21 people have died due to the explosion in a firecracker manufacturing unit, while 8 people are said to be injured. Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anita has given information about this incident. He has also expressed fear that the number of casualties in this blast will increase further. According to Collector and District Magistrate Sagili Shan Mohan, the condition of many of the injured is said to be critical.

21 people died in the blast
At least 21 people were killed and 8 others seriously injured in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kakinada district on Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita said. The Home Minister expressed apprehension that the number of casualties may increase. He said that many people have been admitted to hospitals in critical condition. Andhra Pradesh minister Kandula Durgesh said, “As far as I know, 21 bodies have been seen here (at the scene). Eight others are undergoing treatment in hospitals. There were around 30 people in the construction unit.” He said, “This is the biggest explosion in the state. Complete information is yet to be received. There is no possibility of anyone’s survival. Some people are undergoing treatment.” CM expressed grief over the accident
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the incident. Naidu said in a post on social media platform The Chief Minister assured that the medical expenses of the injured would be borne by the government. He also ordered the suspension of four senior officials of Kakinada district for dereliction of duty.
