IND vs WI: Big update on India’s playing 11 before the ‘do or die’ match, assistant coach told 5 big things

India vs West Indies, T20 World Cup 2026: An important Super-8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 is to be played between India and West Indies on Sunday, March 1 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In a way, this is a virtual knockout match, in which the winning team will go to the semi-finals and the journey of the losing team will end here. At the same time, before this do-or-die match, Team India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Duskhate has given a big update regarding the playing XI. In the press conference held before the match, the assistant coach said that we will decide the playing XI according to the pitch.

Coach Ryan ten Duschate told that Rinku Singh will soon join Team India. Whereas, on Sanju Samson’s play, he said that Sanju looked in very good touch and we have to have a good partnership like the last match. The assistant coach has given an update regarding the batting position of Tilak Verma. He said that it is not yet decided whether Tilak will bat at number 5 or number 6 against West Indies. We saw that when Samson was sent up, Tilak came down and that strategy proved effective. The team management will take the final decision keeping in mind the composition of the opposition team.
