Pakistan lost its shame even after winning from Sri Lanka

The 50th match of the tournament was played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Pallekele. In this match, Pakistan scored 212 runs with the help of Sahibzada Fahran 100 and Fakhar Zaman 84. After this, to make it to the semi-finals and oust New Zealand, Pakistan had to restrict the Sri Lankan team to 147 and reach the semi-finals by bettering the net run rate than New Zealand.

Pakistan took 5 wickets of Sri Lanka till 100 runs but after that they could not stop the host team before 147 and even after winning the match by 5 runs, they were out of the T20 World Cup. Since then, former cricketers and fans of Pakistan have been heavily criticizing the Pakistan cricket team and its players on social media.

Pakistani cricketers were insulted

Pakistani media insulted captain Salman Ali Aga fiercely, while Pakistan’s premium bowler Shaheen Afridi was also heavily criticized for hitting three sixes in the last over. Along with this, many players of the team are facing criticism even after this victory. With this, fans and sportspersons of Pakistan also became quite emotional.

After winning this match, Pakistan cricket team has left for Karachi from Sri Lanka. Now T20 World Cup 2026 matches will not be played in Sri Lanka. Now the semi-finals will be held in Kolkata and Mumbai, while the final will be held in Ahmedabad.
