Administration should deal strictly with those who spoil the atmosphere during festivals, action should set an example: CM Yogi

Lucknow. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the miscreants who spoil the atmosphere on the upcoming festivals including Holi, Ramzan and Eid should be dealt with strictly. The action taken against whoever commits such audacity should set an example. So that they learn a lesson and cannot even think of doing something like this in the future. If any incident occurs that disturbs the harmony, action will be taken against the concerned officials. CM gave these instructions during the law and order review meeting on Saturday night in view of the festivals.

CM Chief Minister has asked the administration and police officers to exercise complete vigilance in view of the sensitive circumstances. All festivals should be conducted in a cordial atmosphere. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. Apart from this, CM said that along with festivals, board examinations are also being held. This time is sensitive from law and order point of view, hence review the incidents of the last five years and make effective arrangements by learning from them. Police patrolling should be increased and special vigilance should be taken during processions. In the meeting, the CM also reviewed in detail the status of IGRS, CM Helpline and public grievance redressal.

If indecent music is played on Holi, teach a lesson

CM said that meetings of Holika Dahan committees and peace committees should be held. So that mutual coordination and harmony is maintained during festivals. Holika Dahan should be done at a safe place only. On the occasion of Holi, indecent songs and music should not be played anywhere and there should not be any such act in enthusiasm of anyone which may lead to humiliating or harassing any class, community or individual. Festivals are a symbol of joy and brotherhood, not a medium to hurt anyone.

Remove loudspeakers, monitor social media

CM said that loudspeakers with ear-splitting noise should be removed. Even now, such loudspeakers are installed at many religious places, which should be removed through communication and coordination so that noise pollution can be effectively controlled. Instructions were given to further strengthen local intelligence and to monitor social media carefully. Apart from this, the CM said that in view of the festivals and board examinations, electricity supply should be uninterrupted.

Teachers stuck in exam work on Holi

Teachers and headmasters, who are performing the duty of strong room and center administrator in UP Board exams, are confused about going home on Holi. Following the strict order issued by Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev, teachers are not being relieved in the districts. It has been clarified in the order that the officers and employees associated with the examination work will not leave the headquarters without the written permission of the concerned Divisional Joint Education Director. Joint and Additional Education Directors will also not be able to leave the headquarters without permission. A warning of disciplinary action has been issued for violation.

In the instructions, it has been asked to ensure continuous monitoring of the strong room, surprise inspection, security, confidentiality and CCTV checking even during the holiday period. Provincial Patron of Government Teachers Association Rameshwar Pandey and Provincial General Secretary Arun Yadav opposed this and said that there are no exams from March 1 to 8, hence teachers should be allowed to go to their home district during Holi vacation.
