Haryana Weather: Haryana started scorching in the end of February, mercury crossed 32°C in many cities.
Haryana Weather: Even before the departure of February in Haryana, the heat has started showing its attitude. According to the latest data of India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in many parts of the state has reached above 32 degrees Celsius. The state’s average maximum temperature was recorded 5.1°C above normal, indicating more intense heat in the coming days.
Hisar hottest, many cities cross 32°C
Hisar was the hottest district in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.9°C. Except Karnal, Sirsa, Jind, Rohtak and Yamunanagar, almost all the districts recorded temperatures above 30°C. Meteorologists believe that further increase in temperature is possible in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the average maximum temperature of the state has increased by 0.3°C in the last 24 hours. The temperature in most of the districts remained between 29°C to 31°C.
It is noteworthy that no rain was recorded at any weather station in the state in the last 24 hours, due to which dry winds have further intensified the heat.
The heat started increasing even at night
Not only the days, but the nights too have started getting hotter. An increase of 2.6°C has been recorded in the minimum temperature compared to the previous day, which is 3.7°C more than normal. The lowest minimum temperature in Karnal was 12.8°C.
The night temperature in Hisar reached 16.6°C. Jind recorded a minimum temperature of 16.7°C.
In most of the areas, minimum temperature has increased by 3 to 4 degrees within 24 hours, due to which the mild cold of morning and evening has almost ended.
