Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested amid Epstein files scandal: Here’s why
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been arrested after a series of interactions between him and late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came to light.
The former duke, who is accused of sexual misconduct with minor girls in alliance with Epstein, was arrested by the UK police on his February 19.
It also happens to be the former prince’s 66th birthday.
The arrest was made “on suspicion of misconduct in public office”, as per the police statement.
The authorities are currently carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.
As of now, it is not confirmed which force has him in custody but police vehicles were seen earlier this morning at Sandringham in Norfolk.
Andrew moved to Norfolk after his titles were removed amid the allegation of sexual assault of minors, including Virginia Giuffre.
In the recently released Epstein files, Andrew’s conversation with the late pedophile revealed thet he sent trade reports to the sex offender.
