Huge fall in stock market: Market cap of 9 out of top 10 companies decreased by Rs 2.19 lakh crore, only this company is making profit.

Mumbai: Amid the huge fall in the domestic stock markets last week, the combined market capitalization (MCAP) of nine top 10 companies of BSE declined by Rs 2,18,902 crore while Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has gained in MCAP.

Telecom company Bharti Airtel’s mcap declined the most by Rs 55,852 crore. The market capitalization of HDFC Bank declined by Rs 37,580 crore and that of Reliance Industries, which operates in various sectors, declined by Rs 34,846 crore. Bajaj Finance lost Rs 20,316 crore in mcap and information technology company TCS lost Rs 18,181 crore. Mcap of public sector LIC declined by Rs 14,990 crore.

The market capitalization of construction and engineering company L&T declined by Rs 13,715 crore and that of State Bank of India by Rs 13,061 crore. ICICI Bank suffered a loss of Rs 10,360 crore in MCAP.
FMCG company HUL’s mcap increased by Rs 5,463 crore. In terms of market capitalization, Reliance Industries remains at the first position with Rs 18,86,833 crore. HDFC Bank is at second place with Rs 13,65,659 crore and State Bank is at third place with Rs 11,09520 crore.
