According to the report of ESPN, the 19th season of IPL will start from March 28. Earlier this tournament was to start from 26th March. Talking about the final match, this match is to be played on 31st May. It is being told that this change has been made keeping in mind the assembly elections to be held in three states.

No official announcement from BCCI

However, no official statement has been issued by BCCI regarding this yet. BCCI had announced during the IPL Players Auction in Abu Dhabi in December 2025 that the tournament will start from March 26, 2026. But now about a month ago, Bort has decided to postpone IPL 2026 by two days. The starting date of this tournament itself has been changed. There has been no change in the date of the final match.

IPL Governing Council meeting next week

According to ESPN-Cricinfo, the IPL Governing Council meeting is going to be held next week. In which final approval can be given on this decision.
