This entire matter is related to the students of a composite school in Palia block studying from class 1 to 8. Here many girls of class 6, 7 and 8 have alleged that their assistant teacher Sunil Kumar Singh, who is said to be originally from Ghaziabad. Used to misbehave with girl students. According to the students, the teacher used to call them on the pretext of checking homework or copies. After this, he would show them obscene pictures or videos, talk dirty, recite poetry and touch them inappropriately. If any girl protested or cried, he would even beat her. All these things are so scary that the mind becomes sad just thinking about them.

After these allegations, a video went viral in which some girls are giving interviews. In this video she is narrating her ordeal in fear and crying. She tells that going to school had become scary for her because of the teacher. Many times she used to cry at home, but did not tell anyone out of fear. Finally, when things became too serious, some girls told everything to their parents. The parents immediately lodged a complaint at Chandanchowki police station.

Case registered against teacher

The police took this matter very seriously. On 28 February 2026, a case was registered against Sunil Kumar Singh under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act). The POCSO law is designed to prevent sexual crimes against children, and provides for strict punishment. Police registered a case under sections 74, 75/1, 115/2 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and sections 9C and 10 of POCSO. The accused teacher is said to be absconding at present, and the police is searching for him.

Accused suspended

The Basic Education Officer (BSA) of the school where this incident took place also took immediate action. BSA Praveen Kumar Tiwari suspended Sunil Kumar Singh with immediate effect. The department said that if the allegations are proved, more strict departmental action will be taken. Investigation is going on, and soon the whole truth will come out. This incident has not happened for the first time. Such complaints often come in government schools in rural areas. Problems like shortage of teachers, lack of training, and lack of monitoring give rise to such incidents. According to the 2023 report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), more than 50,000 cases of sexual exploitation of children are registered every year in India. Many of these cases are related to schools or the surrounding environment. This number is even more worrying in a big state like Uttar Pradesh.
