Rashmika mandanna wedding: Real-life couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will be seen together for the first time in the new Telugu film Ranabali being directed by Rahul Sankrityan. This film is based on the struggles and rebellions that took place in India during the British rule in the 19th century. The story traces the life story of a forgotten freedom fighter Ranabali (Vijay Deverakonda) and his struggle and love with his wife Jayamma (Rashmika Mandanna).

Ranabali is a pan-India Telugu action film. This film is inspired by real events between 1854 and 1878. The story especially focuses on the Rayalaseema region and the struggles of the people there. The film shows how freedom fighters stood up against British rule and other social difficulties. Ranabali is not an ordinary biopic. The film shows the struggle of freedom fighters, colonial atrocities, large-scale violence and economic crisis during the British rule. The film will be released on 11 September.

On-screen pairing of Vijay and Rashmika

This film will be the first screen pairing of Vijay and Rashmika after their marriage. Both of them got married in traditional Telugu and Kodava style in Udaipur on 26 February 2026. In the film, Vijay’s character is that of rebel freedom fighter Ranabali, while Rashmika will be seen as his wife Jayamma.

First look and romantic song

The makers shared the first look of Vijay and Rashmika as Ranabali and Jayamma on social media on 28 February. Also, the first romantic song of the film “Endhaiya Sami” was also released.

Rahul Sankrityan and Vijay’s second film

This film is the second collaboration of actor Vijay Deverakonda and director Rahul Sankrityan. Earlier, both of them had worked together in the film Taxiwala in 2018.

Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo (who is famous for the film The Mummy) will play the role of the main villain Sir Theodore Hector.
