1. WhatsApp and Telegram will not work without active SIM

    ‘SIM-binding’ rules have come into effect for messaging apps from today. After this rule of the government, now messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal will work only when the same SIM card with which the account is created is installed in active mode in the phone. Apart from this, if you run apps like WhatsApp on the computer, then the login WhatsApp will also be logged out in 6 hours. Earlier, this used to run for weeks once you login.

    Why was this decision taken: Often cyber criminals used to commit fraud by removing the SIM and using messaging apps only through Wi-Fi. Now the app will automatically logout as soon as the SIM is removed. This will help in preventing fraud.

    2. LPG cylinder prices increased
    On the first of every month, oil marketing companies revise the prices of LPG gas cylinders and changes have also been seen on March 1. In Delhi, the price of commercial gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 28, while in other metros it has become costlier by Rs 31. Earlier last month, on the budget day, February 1, the price of 19 kg gas cylinder was increased across the country and it became costlier by Rs 50 and once again there has been a shock of inflation.

    3. ATF expensive, air expenses will increase
    Not only the shock of LPG Price Hike, but there has also been a change on the first of March which will increase the pocket money of air passengers. Yes, like the beginning of every month, on the first of March too, oil companies have made changes in the Air Turbine Fuel Price (ATF Price). Reduction or increase in ATF affects the cost of air passenger travel. According to the new prices effective from March 1, 2026, the ATF price in Delhi increased from Rs 91,393.39 to Rs 96,638.14 per kiloliter, in Kolkata from Rs 94,445.62 to Rs 99,587.14, in Mumbai from Rs 85,474.63 to Rs 90,451.87 and in Chennai the price of aviation fuel increased from Rs 94,445.62 to Rs 99,587.14. From Rs 94,781.99 to Rs 1,00,280.49 per kilolitre.

    4. Railway’s UTS app closed, now booking will be done through ‘RailOne’

    Railway’s old unreserved ticketing system i.e. UTS app will be completely closed from today. Now passengers will have to use the new ‘RailOne’ app to book tickets for general, platform and local trains. Railvan app was launched in July 2025. After the closure of this app, many passengers have a question in their mind as to what will happen to the money deposited in their wallet (R-Wallet) of UTS app. Railways said that the amount in your wallet is safe and it will be transferred to the new RailOne app.

    5. Bumper holiday in the bank

    If you are planning a visit this month to get any bank related work done, then let us tell you that due to various festivals and events, there are bumper bank holidays in March. Due to which banking operations will not take place. These include bank holidays of Holi, Gudhi Padwa, Eid, Ram Navami and Mahavir Jayanti. There will be a total of 18 days of holidays in the entire month on these occasions and these include the second and fourth Saturdays and weekly holidays of Sundays.
