News India Live, Digital Desk: Clove creeper is known for its special texture and clove fragrance. It is hard on the outside and soaked in syrup, while inside it has a soft stuffing of mawa (khoya). Let us know how to make it:

Ingredients required to make Clove Lata

Fine flour: 250 grams

Ghee for Moyan: 50 grams

Khoya (Mawa) for Stuffing: 150 grams

Sugar: 2 cups (for syrup)

Clove: 15-20 (to seal the fold)

cardamom powder: half teaspoon

Dry Fruits: Finely chopped almonds, cashews and raisins

For frying: oil or ghee

Recipe: Step-by-Step Guide

1. Prepare flour

Take flour in a big vessel and add ghee to it and mix well. Now add water little by little and knead a stiff dough. Cover it with a wet cloth and leave it for 20 minutes.

2. Prepare the stuffing

Roast khoya (mawa) in a pan until it turns light pink. Now add powdered sugar (as per taste), cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits. Let the mixture cool.

3. Making syrup

Put 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water in a vessel and boil it. Prepare one string syrup in it. You can add some saffron or cardamom for fragrance.

4. Shaping the clove vine

Break the flour into small balls and roll them like a puri. Place a spoonful of mawa stuffing in the middle. Now fold the puri from both the sides and then fold it from top to bottom to make a square packet. one in the middle cloves Bury so that the layers do not open.

5. Fry and dip in syrup

Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Fry the cloves on medium flame until they become golden and crisp. Immediately after frying, put them in hot syrup. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes so that it absorbs the juice deep inside.

Always fry cloves on medium to low flame. If fried on high flame, they will turn red from outside but may remain raw from inside.
