LPG Cylinder Price: Cylinder becomes expensive before Holi, price increased by Rs 28
New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders just before Holi, while there has been no change in the prices of domestic cylinders. According to the website of Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1,768.50 since Sunday. This is the highest level since March 2025.
The price of commercial LPG cylinder has increased for the third consecutive time this year. In Delhi, its price had increased by Rs 111 in January and by Rs 49 in February. Thus, the price has been increased by a total of Rs 188 in three times. Commercial LPG cylinders are used for all non-domestic purposes including hotels, restaurants, dhabas. Almost the same increase has been made in other metro cities of the country.
In Kolkata its price has increased by Rs 31 to Rs 1,875.50 and in Mumbai its price has increased by Rs 28.50 to Rs 1,720.50. Commercial LPG cylinder in Chennai will become costlier by Rs 29.50 and will be available at Rs 1,929 from today. At the same time, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder since April 08, 2025.
Its price is stable at Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai and Rs 868.50 in Chennai. Oil marketing companies review LPG prices every month. New prices are generally determined on the 1st of every month based on changes in prices in international markets and the exchange rate of the rupee against the dollar.
