This technology was not prepared by any ordinary person but by the world famous German engineer Walter Bruch. Due to his incredible invention, today CCTV has become a boon for humans.

Why was CCTV invented?

Now let us know why CCTV was invented and why it was needed. In fact, during World War II, Germany had developed the V-2 rocket and was about to successfully test it and launch it. But during the testing of the rocket, some technical fault often occurred, due to which there was always a danger of a terrible explosion. Therefore, scientists thought that a technology should be invented through which the rocket launch could be monitored from a distance and any kind of accident could be avoided.

CCTV set up near ‘blast zone’

Keeping this need in mind, scientists developed special technology like CCTV. The biggest reason for the success of this system was to install the cameras at the right and safe place. Engineer Walter Bruch used his ingenuity to fit the cameras snugly in a sturdy steel casing near the ‘blast zone’ of the launch pad.

The camera was attached to the bunker

These cameras were installed at very safe places, so that in case of any accident, complete information could be obtained. All these cameras were connected to a safe bunker away from the rocket, where scientists were sitting at a distance and watching the entire launch situation on a screen.
