News India Live, Digital Desk: Nagpur district of Maharashtra Chakradharpur A massive explosion took place this afternoon in a Solar Explosives Factory located in Chakdharpur area. The explosion was so powerful that its echo was heard several kilometers away and a part of the factory building completely collapsed. So far, the death of many workers has been confirmed in this accident, while many others are seriously injured.
How did the accident happen? (initial information)
According to eyewitnesses, the blast occurred when the work of ‘packaging’ or ‘mixing’ of explosive material was going on inside the factory. This sudden explosion did not give any person present there a chance to recover. The fire spread so rapidly that the entire unit was engulfed in smoke.
Relief and rescue operations continue
NDRF and Fire Brigade: As soon as the information was received, Nagpur Police and several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. NDRF team has also been called for relief work.
Fear of being buried under debris: It is feared that many workers are still buried under the debris. The work of removing debris is going on war footing with the help of gas cutters and JCB.
Alert in hospital: The injured were immediately admitted to nearby medical colleges and private hospitals, where the condition of many is said to be critical.

Maharashtra government and local administration have expressed deep sorrow over this incident. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident to find out whether safety norms were ignored.
