Chennai Super Kings launches new jersey for IPL 2026

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has unveiled its new jersey for the Indian Premier League 2026 season. The franchise introduced the new kit by sharing a video on Instagram on Sunday. The post was captioned, “ALL-NEW AND ALL FOR YOU! Order the CSK Jersey 2026 and let your summer be filled with Yellove!”

Disappointing performance in IPL 2025

Five-time champion CSK had a very bad IPL 2025 season. The team lost 10 out of 14 matches and stood last in the points table. In such a situation, the 2026 season is being considered a big comeback opportunity for the team.

Big changes in the team, Jadeja-Curran trade

Before the upcoming season, CSK has made major changes in the squad. In the most important trade, wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has been included in the team in place of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.

Dhoni will play one more season

44-year-old veteran captain MS Dhoni is ready to play another IPL season. His performance in IPL 2025 was ordinary. He scored 196 runs in 13 innings, averaging 24.50 and strike rate 135.17. Due to injury of Ruturaj Gaikwad, he also took the responsibility of captaincy. Now the team is eyeing to win the sixth title.

Expectations from young players

Last season, young players like Devold Brevis, Ayush Mhatre and Urvil Patel had raised hopes by playing aggressively.

record breaking shopping

This time CSK has placed a big bet on two uncapped players. UP all-rounder Prashant Veer and Rajasthan wicketkeeper Karthik Sharma were bought for Rs 14.20 crore, making them the most expensive uncapped players in tournament history.
