Both sides have been impressive throughout the tournament, each suffering just one defeat, that too against South Africa. Consistency with both bat and ball has brought them to this virtual knockout on the final league day.
At the iconic Eden Gardens, chasing has often appeared slightly easier due to the quick outfield and true surface, making India’s decision to bowl first a confident and calculated call.
West Indies boast one of the most destructive batting lineups in world cricket, packed with brutal power hitters capable of changing the game in a few overs. They will look to exploit the conditions and put India under pressure early.
With semifinal qualification on the line, an absorbing contest awaits in Kolkata.
