Restrictions on Maharajganj border due to Nepal elections, border sealed for 72 hours…

The border restrictions will remain in force from 12:00 am on March 2 to 12:00 am on March 5. During this period, there will be a ban on any type of movement between the two countries.

In this meeting, border security and safety of citizens of both the countries were discussed. Authorities have taken this step to ensure the safety of citizens of both the countries.

At the same time, during the border restrictions, strict vigil will be maintained at all the border posts in Maharajganj district, and no unauthorized person will be allowed to cross the border. This step has been taken to maintain a peaceful election environment between the two countries, so that any untoward incident can be avoided.

This restriction will be temporary regarding security on the India-Nepal border, and the situation is expected to become normal after March 5. During this time, local people have also been advised to stay away from the border in view of security.
