Both sides have one win in the Super 8s states and will be aiming for a win to secure a spot in the semi-finals. Despite India suffering a big defeat against South Africa, they had a massive comeback with a win against Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, the West Indies has won the game against Zimbabwe and will be entering Eden Gardens after a defeat against South Africa.
This will be virtual quarterfinals to decide the fourth semifinalist of the T20 World Cup campaign. The Men in Blues and Windies have met on 30 occasions, where India has won on 19 occasions, while the West Indies has won on 10 occasions.

India won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Suryakumar Yadav said, “We will bowl first tonight. Looks good. It has been a chasing ground, wicket gets even better so chasing is a good option. It’s already wild and we will look to give a good show to the crowd.
While speaking today, India’s cricket team playing 11, Suryakumar Yadav said, ” I think we ticked all the boxes last game. Same team.”
On the other hand, Shai Hope said, “We would have done the same (bowling). Playing consistent cricket is key for us. Most of the guys have been part of the IPL and hopefully we can come out on top today. It’s a do or die game today. This is what we play for – to play against big teams, best teams.”
While asked about today’s West Indies cricket team playing 11, Shai Hope said, “One change, Akeal Hosein comes in for Brandon King.”
