Holika Stotra: After doing three parikrama of this stotra, one should recite Holika Stotra by offering namaskar with both the hands.

By saluting Holika with both hands while lighting Holi or after lighting Holi and after doing three or five parikramas and reciting this stotra, Holika takes away all the sins of man, takes away all the sorrows, and brings welfare in every way. Holika, by becoming the mother of the world, bestows all the siddhis and bestows happiness and peace.

After doing three parikrama of this stotra, one should recite Holika Stotra after offering namaskar with both the hands.

Om Mahajwalaya Vidmahe Agnidevaya Dhimahi. Tanno Agni: Prachodayat.
(Meaning – Om, I meditate on that great light, the Lord Agni. May that (auspicious) fire inspire us (towards prosperity and well-being).)

Holika fire is considered very sacred. It is believed that putting some special things in the fire of Holika brings happiness and prosperity in life. Whereas it is prohibited to put any impure thing in Holika. It is believed that it has negative effects in life.

What should be put in Holika?
1. Dry coconut should be put in the fire of Holika Dahan. Apart from this, offer intact and fresh flowers in the Holika fire. Offer a garland made of whole moong dal, pieces of turmeric, and dried cow dung to Holika.
Putting dry coconut in Holika fire is considered very auspicious.
2. Roast wheat ears in the fire of Holi and bring them home.
Later, mix its wheat grains in the granary or immerse them.
3. Neem leaves and a piece of camphor should be offered in the Holika fire.
4. Betel leaves and batasha soaked in ghee should be offered in the fire of Holika.
5. In Holika Dahan, water and gulal should be offered from a silver or copper urn.
6. Turmeric and cow dung cakes should be offered in the fire of Holika.
7. Intact and fresh flowers should also be offered in the fire of Holika Dahan.
8. After playing with colors on the day of Holi, applying alum mop in the house brings money towards you like a magnet. Take water in a bucket, put some alum powder inside it and wipe it with it.
Many negative forces are active on Holi.

What should not be put in Holika fire
1. Coconut with water should not be offered in Holika fire. Dry coconut is always offered in Holika. It is believed that offering a coconut with water can spoil the position of the Moon in the horoscope and the person has to face many problems in life. You can break a watery coconut and take it as Prasad.
2. 2. Broken items like bed, sofa etc. should not be put in the Holika fire. Or do not throw household garbage.
It is believed that by doing this, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu provide inauspicious results.
3. Do not put dried wheat ears in Holika fire.

And dry flowers should not be offered.
