Bihar: Innocent child snatched from mother’s lap, miscreants ran away after throwing him 100 meters away.
Sanjay Singh, Patna. There was chaos in Qasim Bazar police station area of Munger district of Bihar on Saturday afternoon when an attempt was made to snatch an eight-month-old innocent child from his mother’s lap. When the woman raised an alarm and the local people chased her, the bike-riding miscreants ran away by throwing the child in the bushes on the roadside about 100 meters away. It was fortunate that the innocent child was found completely safe. There has been sensation in the area after the incident. The police have formed a team and started investigating the case.
The incident took place near Sandalpur Boys School in Qasim Bazar police station area. According to the information, Mohd., resident of Shah Colony of Purbasarai police station area. Akbar’s wife Neha was returning home in Toto after studying at JRS College (Jamalpur) with her eight-month-old son. On the way, near Sandalpur Durga place, the Toto driver suddenly turned the vehicle to the other side.

When the woman asked the reason, the driver said that he had to pick up a child from school. As soon as Toto reached near Sandalpur Boys School, two bike-riding youths who were already standing there snatched the innocent child from the woman’s lap and started running away. The woman started shouting loudly. The people nearby showed promptness and started chasing the bike-riding miscreants.
Seeing the crowd coming back, the miscreants went ahead about a hundred meters and threw the child in the bushes on the roadside. Due to the alertness of the local people, the innocent child was rescued safely from the bushes within a few minutes. As soon as information about the incident was received, Qasim Bazar police station reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area and started investigation. It is being told that some people have taken a photo of the number plate of the bike.

Late night, Munger Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood and SDPO Sadar reached the spot with their team. SP said that a team has been formed in the case. Nearby CCTV footage is being scrutinized. Information is also being collected from local people. Meanwhile, the SP appealed to the people to avoid any kind of rumor and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
