Protests have started in many parts of the Kashmir Valley as the news of the alleged death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a military attack spread. People are expressing their anger by taking to the streets, due to which the local administration is on alert mode. Wave of demonstrations in Shia dominated areas of Kashmir. After the news of Khamenei’s death, tension spread in Shia dominated areas like Saida Kadal of Srinagar, Old City and Budgam of central Kashmir. The protesters raised slogans against America and Israel. Protesters holding pictures of Khamenei are calling the attack an “attack on all humanity.” Apart from Kashmir, reports of similar protests have also come from the Kargil region of Ladakh.
