Coming at a speed of 99.2 km/hr, this ball pitched near the off stump and turned inwards. Shai Hope wanted to play a shot on the backfoot, but could not read the line. The ball hit the middle stump directly and the wickets shattered. In this way the opening partnership of 68 runs was broken and India got the much needed wicket.

West Indies gave India a target of 196 runs

West Indies, who came to bat first after losing the toss, scored 195 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Shai Hope scored 32 runs in 33 balls, while Roston Chase gave the team a fast start by scoring 40 runs in just 25 balls. Whereas Shimron Hetmyer batted aggressively and scored 27 runs in 12 balls. After this Rovman Powell and Jason Holder took over the innings. Together they made a quick partnership of 76 runs in just 35 balls.

Holder scored unbeaten 37 runs in 22 balls, which included 2 fours and 3 sixes. Powell also scored unbeaten 34 runs in 19 balls at a strike rate of 178. At the same time, from India’s side, Jasprit Bumrah took maximum 2 wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakraborty got one wicket each.
