Mumbai Jai Pawar, son of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has shared a shocking video on Instagram, in which VSR Ventures owner Rohit Singh is seen sleeping on the pilot seat during a flight. Calling it the biggest example of negligence in the sky, Jai has demanded strict action from DGCA.
Jai wrote, ‘I lost my father… this pain will remain with me for the rest of my life.’ He appealed for grounding of all VSR flights, arrest of Rohit Singh and full investigation. This video is related to the Learjet crash that took place in Baramati on January 28, 2026, in which Ajit Pawar died.
DGCA has already grounded four VSR aircraft. The special safety audit found numerous violations in airworthiness, safety and flight operations. The affected aircraft are VT-VRA, VT-VRS, VT-VRV and VT-TRI.
The report said the VSR repeatedly did not follow accepted procedures. Grounding will continue until the deficiency is rectified. This call of Jai Pawar is not only a personal condolence, but also raises the question of the safety of every passenger. The need for strictness in the aviation sector has now become clear.
