Actually, after SIR in West Bengal, the Election Commission has released the final voter list of the entire state on Saturday. The name of Indian Women’s World Cup-winning wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh has also been included in the voter list. Not only this, along with Richa Ghosh, the name of Richa’s sister Somashree Ghosh also came in the undertrial list. However, Richa’s father Manvendra Ghosh had submitted all the documents to the Election Commission as per the rules. But when the list was released on Saturday, it was seen that the names of both his daughters Richa and Somashree were in the undertrial list. And Richa’s parents were very disappointed.

After the name of Indian cricketer Richa Ghosh was missing from the voter list in Siliguri, her father Manoranjan Ghosh told news agency IANS, “I think a notice must have come for the hearing. They said maybe the birth certificate will have to be uploaded… Richa is playing, how will she know.”

Richa is currently a part of the Indian squad on Australia tour. At present, no response has been received from the cricketer on this issue. It is noteworthy that Siliguri in North Bengal is the hometown of 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh, who played a major role in the Women’s World Cup win. After which the Mamata Banerjee government honored Richa with the ‘Bang Bhushan’ award, was appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and was presented a gold chain.
