India reached semi-finals of T20 World Cup, Sanju Samson played historic match-winning innings

IND vs WI: The Indian team has qualified for the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2026. In the last match of Super-8, Team India defeated West Indies by 5 wickets and made its place in the semi-finals. Batting first in this match played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, West Indies scored 195 runs. In reply, India achieved the target by losing 5 wickets. Sanju Samson played a match-winning inning of 97 not out.

Let us tell you that for the first time in the history of T20 World Cup, Team India has successfully chased more than 180 runs. Sanju played an unbeaten inning of 97 runs in 50 balls. During this, 12 fours and 4 sixes came from his bat.

West Indies’ batting was like this

In this match against India, West Indies, batting first after losing the toss, scored 195 runs for 4 wickets. For West Indies, Roston Chase scored 40 runs in 25 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six. Jason Holder scored unbeaten 37 runs with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes in 22 balls. Whereas Rovman Powell played an inning of 34 runs in 19 balls. Captain Shay Hope scored 32 runs. While Shimron Hetmyer contributed 27 runs in 12 balls. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for India. Whereas Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakraborty got 1 success each.

India will face England in the semi-finals

Team India has become the fourth team to reach the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2026. Now India will face England in the semi-finals. On March 4, the second semi-final match between India and England will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
