Who is Ayatollah Alireza Arafi?
Arafi was born in 1959 in Yazd province of Iran, Arafi is considered important in the politics and religious affairs of Iran. He received his early religious education from his father and at the age of 11 moved to Qom, a major center of Shia Islamic learning, The Week reported. From there he pursued higher religious studies and gradually gained a strong hold in the politics of Iran. Arafi is considered close to former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

40 commanders killed so far
Many top commanders, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have been killed in the joint operation Epic Fury between America and Israel. According to Israel, about 40 Iranian commanders have been killed in this attack, including Iran’s Chief of Army Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi.
