Sanju Samson 97* Runs Against West Indies: India defeated West Indies by 5 wickets in the Super-8 match of T20 World Cup 2026 and made it to the semi-finals. The hero of this victory was wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson. Batting first at Eden Gardens, West Indies scored 195 runs. In reply, Team India batted brilliantly and achieved the target in 19.4 overs and won the match by scoring 199 runs.

However, Tilak Verma provided good support to Sanju Samson by playing an inning of 27 runs in 15 balls. Whereas, captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 18 runs, Hardik Pandya scored 17 runs, Ishan Kishan scored 10 runs and Abhishek Sharma scored 10 runs. Jason Holder and Samar Joseph took 2-2 wickets for West Indies. Apart from this, Akil Hussain took 1 wicket in his name.
