Iran’s alert regarding maritime security, Pakistani ships were stopped from entering the Strait of Hormuz…

Amid rising tensions in West Asia, Iran on Sunday blocked three ships of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) from sailing towards the Strait of Hormuz. These ships included Karachi, Lahore and Khairpur, which were out carrying oil. According to sources, the Lahore and Khairpur ships have been directed to stop at Fujairah Port, while the Karachi ship has been ordered to anchor at Gwadar Port.

Following the move, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all maritime traffic. This sea route is located between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and is seen as a global oil export route.

Let us tell you, the decision to stop PNSC ships has been taken after the American and Israeli attacks on Iran, which have increased instability in the region and also increased concerns about maritime security.

Meanwhile, at least 9 people were killed in a protest near the US Consulate in Karachi when protesters tried to enter the consulate by throwing stones. Police opened fire to control it, and the violence also caused heavy traffic disruption.

In terms of maritime security, Iran’s embassy announced the fifth wave of an Operation True Promise 4, in which an MSP ship in the Indian Ocean faced a drone attack. Additionally, the US Naval Base in Kuwait was attacked with ballistic missiles and drones, killing several American soldiers.

These incidents come amid rising tensions and military action, further exacerbating security and instability issues in West Asia.
