Threat to blow up 4 Delhi schools and Axis Bank, search operation underway
On Monday morning, information came to light about bomb threats to four schools and a bank in different areas of Delhi. As soon as this news was received, police and other security agencies immediately swung into action and a search operation was started in all the premises.
Which schools received threatening mails
According to the information, between 8 am and 9:30 am, Army Public School in Delhi Cantt, Salwan Public School in Mayur Vihar, Meera Public School in Janakpuri, Rabia Girls School in Ballimaran and Axis Bank located in Statesman House on Barakhamba Road received threatening messages. These messages warned of bomb blast, which created panic among the school administration and bank officials.
Immediately after receiving the threat, all schools were evacuated as a precaution. Students and employees were taken to safe places, so that any untoward incident could be avoided. Along with this, teams of bomb disposal squad and dog squad were called to the spot, who started a detailed investigation of the entire complex. Similarly, the security agencies also conducted a thorough search of every part of the bank building located on Barakhamba Road.
What did the police officers say?
Police officials said that in the investigation so far, no suspicious object or explosive material has been found from any place. However, as a precautionary measure, the investigation campaign has been continued and security arrangements have been kept on full alert. Officials say that such threats are taken seriously and action is taken keeping every possible threat in mind.
Meanwhile, a cyber cell team has also been activated to trace the threatening person or group. Efforts are being made to trace the source of the message through technical means. The police have appealed to the people not to pay attention to any kind of rumor and rely only on official information. At present the situation is under control and security agencies are fully alert.
