US-Israel Iran War: New Delhi: The fire of war in the Middle East is now spreading across the borders of Iran and Israel (Iran-Israel War) to other countries. A destructive war in this country is likely to affect India as well. Shia Muslims have been on the offensive since the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Shia Muslims have mourned and expressed a sense of revenge. In many parts of India, Shia Muslims have taken to the streets and are protesting strongly. Due to this, the Union Home Ministry (Home Ministry) precautions are being taken. Some states have been alerted.

 

Important information has come out from the Union Home Ministry. On February 28, the ministry informed the states about the possibility of an Israeli and US attack on Iran. He also warned that violence may spread in India after this attack. According to media reports, the letter urged states to identify “radical pro-Iranian preachers” who could incite violence through inflammatory speeches. The ministry has directed the security agencies to keep a close watch on the activities of such preachers and take necessary steps for the safety of citizens.

Massive protests in Kashmir and Srinagar

Massive protests took place in Kashmir on March 2 to protest the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Demonstrators chanted slogans against America and Israel and beat their chests in mourning. To control the situation in Kashmir, the authorities have reduced the speed of mobile internet. This step was taken as a precaution to maintain law and order. About 1.5 million Shia Muslims live in Kashmir, who are active in these protests.

The Union Home Ministry also informed the states that violence is likely to spill over into India after a joint military strike against Iran. The ministry warned that a strict watch should be kept on preachers and movements that could create instability in India. In its letter, the ministry specifically mentioned pro-Iranian radical preachers who could incite violence through inflammatory speeches.

Protests in many cities of Uttar Pradesh

Protests were also held in various parts of Uttar Pradesh to protest the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In the capital Lucknow, members of the Shia community gathered at an Imambara and raised slogans against America and Israel. He condemned the actions of the US and Israel and called Khamenei’s assassination a great loss. Demonstrations were also held in Jaunpur, Aligarh and Muzaffarnagar. Thousands of Shia Muslims took out a procession in Muzaffarnagar to protest Khamenei’s assassination and sent a memorandum to the President of India.
