Harsh Goenka Mumbai Metro: Businessman Harsh Goenka recently bought Mumbai Metro’s Line 3, also known as Aqua Line. Have traveled for the first time. He wrote on Platform X that he was really happy and surprised by this experience. The station was clean, the train came on time and there was very little crowd. During the journey he also met his office colleagues. Due to which this journey has become even more special.

Goenka wrote in his post that he has traveled in the metro in Paris, London and New York, but he liked the experience of Mumbai Metro Line 3 the best. He thought that if we can build and maintain a world-class metro, why can’t the roads be of the same standard? This question of his has forced some thinking.

As soon as his post went viral. Many passengers have shared their experiences. One user wrote that the metro is clean, punctual and free from congestion, but the roads are still troublesome. Someone suggested that AC metro should be run instead of Mumbai local trains. Another passenger described the journey from Worli to Vile Parle as comfortable and praised the staff.

Can traveling daily change someone’s mindset?

Some people joked that if one took the metro every day, he would find many of his office colleagues there. One user wrote that when public transport is so easy, the experience of the city changes. This realizes that good infrastructure should be a part of one’s mindset and not a luxury. However, some people also said that reaching the metro remains a challenge.

What is special about Aqua Line?

Mumbai Metro Line 3 is a 33.5 km long underground corridor. It connects Aarey JVLR in North Mumbai to Cuffe Parade in South Mumbai. It has 26 underground stations. Major stations include SEEPZ, Airport Terminal 1 and 2, BKC, Worli, Mumbai Central, Churchgate and Cuffe Parade. The journey from one end to the other takes approximately 55 to 60 minutes, and trains run every five minutes during peak hours. The service runs from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm.
