Youth who hit MP Sumitra Balmik’s car arrested, police traced it through a sticker

Ranjhi police has caught the youth who hit the car of Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Balmik. On February 20, when Rajya Sabha MP Ranjhi was going to her residence along with the gunman and PA, a speeding car hit her vehicle from behind near Gokalpur. There was no loss of life in this incident, but the health of the Rajya Sabha MP has been continuously deteriorating since the collision. On the complaint of MP’s driver Vilas Sen, the police started searching for the unknown car driver.

Let us tell you that on the night of 20th February, around 11 pm, Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Balmik was going to her residence in Ranjhi in car number MP 20 ZE 7788 from Andhamook Bypass. As soon as his car reached Gokalpur at around 11.30 pm, a white car coming from behind hit him, due to which the Rajya Sabha MP’s car was badly damaged. The good thing was that there was no loss of life in this incident, but after the incident, Sumitra Valmiki’s health is bad. Ranjhi police station reached the spot after the incident, registered an FIR against the unknown car driver and started searching for him.

The accused was caught with the help of a sticker

Police searched more than 40 cameras installed within three kilometers in search of the accused car driver but could not trace the number due to high speed. Police took more than 10 photographs of the car which appeared to have a sticker with Police written on it. Ranjhi CSP Satish Sahu along with police station incharge Umesh Golhani and his team searched more than 20 Swift cars in Ranjhi Khamaria but were not successful. Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, the police got information that a white car with a police sticker was parked near Ranjhi Bada Patthar in Manmohan Nagar.

The accused told how the incident happened

TI immediately reached the spot with the team and seized the car. During interrogation, it was revealed that the owner of the car is Manish Dhandhariya who does a private job. He told that on the night of 20th, he was returning home from a party held in the senior staff club. His car collided with the car of a Rajya Sabha MP near Gokalpur. He told that he was very scared after the incident, due to which he came straight home and covered the car. Police station in-charge Ranjhi Umesh Golhani told that the father of accused Manish Dhandhariya is posted as head constable in SAF battalion and he works in the same company in Jabalpur.
